Description:
Leaves oblanceolate, 3-6 cm long, 6-15 mm wide, puberulent to glabrous; margins ciliate near the base, serrate to crenate distally.
Scapes robust, glabrous, much shorter than the leaves at flowering time, accrescent to 2-6 cm, with 2-4 scale leaves; involucral bracts broad-oblanceolate to oblong, 2-3 mm long, puberulent to glabrous, often magenta-tinged; margins erose, hyaline; outer florets 35-60, c. 1 mm long, obliquely truncate or with 1-3 unequal lobes, greenish or magenta-tinged; disk florets 10-14, c. 2 mm long, white or greenish.
Achenes 2-2.5 mm long, brown, glabrous.
