Description:
Shrub to 150cm high; leaves coriaceous, generally held at an angle of less than 45º to the stem, narrowly lanceolate, at least 10 times longer than broad, 5-14 x 0.5-1.4 cm, basally narrowed or subpetiolate, with or without small toothed auricles; margin often flat, sometimes shortly revolute, distantly and minutely toothed or subentire; adaxially dark-green, abaxially a lighter green and glabrous or sparsely and loosely cobwebby, with conspicuous lateral veins that usually darken on drying.
Inflorescence usually paniculate and rather lax, sometimes corymbose.
