Description:
Small perennial herb with loosely tufted ascending stems, to c. 10 cm high, often fragrant; leaves crowded, linear-acute, not pungent, sometimes trigonous, c. 6 mm long.
Flowers subsessile, numerous in terminal or axillary clusters, surrounded by acute bracts; calyx c. 5 mm long, lobes c. 2.5 mm long, broadly lanceolate, with scarious margins; stamens 2; ovary indehiscent and falling with the calyx.
Seeds 1, c. 1 mm long, c. 0.7 mm wide.
