Common name: Creeping brookweed.
Description:
Perennials often forming dense tufts of erect little-branched stems to 60 cm high but some branches decumbent and rooting runner-like; basal leaves oblanceolate to obovate-spathulate, 10-50 x 4-12 mm, with a long cuneate base, acute, glabrous, fleshy and usually with venation not visible; cauline leaves much smaller and tending to be linear-lanceolate to linear.
Inflorescence a corymb at least when flowering and often becoming a raceme when fruiting particularly in shade forms with more than 6 flowers; calyx lobes narrowly lanceolate to triangular, 2-3.5 mm long, acute, not ridged; corolla white often tinged pink; tube shorter to longer than the calyx; lobes oblanceolate, 2.5-5 mm long; anthers usually ovoid, with a terminal appendage shorter than to as long as the anthers.
