Description:
Annual, stems c. 10 cm high, usually glabrous, varying from procumbent to erect, lateral branches sometimes tufted, not rooting; leaves more or less fleshy, linear-lanceolate, obtuse or mucronulate but not aristate, c. 8 mm long.
Peduncles erect, much longer than the leaves, glabrous, filiform; flowers usually 4-merous; sepals ovate, obtuse, not mucronate; petals minute or absent.
Capsule oblong, ovoid, equalling the persistent sepals; seeds brown, papillose.
