Description:
Small glabrous undershrub to c. 40 cm high; branches compressed and reddish becoming terete and grey; leaves trigonous, shortly mucronate, to c. 25 mm long, to c. 4 mm wide, glaucous, densely dotted.
Perianth lobes ovate; petaloid staminodes purple; flower c. 2 cm diam., on pedicels c. 5 mm long; stamens short.
Capsule truncate.
