Sepals half-spreading, slightly dimorphic; petals shortly clawed; stamens 6; median nectariferous glands present.
Fruit a silicula, indehiscent, differentiated into 2 segments; lower segment cylindrical, sometimes fertile; upper segment globose, fertile, beaked; cotyledons conduplicate; radicle incumbent.
Distribution:
