Description:
Stems 10-60 cm and more tall; leaves to 6.5 X 0.7 cm; spikes finally ovoid or subcylindrical, to 5 x 2.2 cm; the papery bract (c. 8 mm) nearly twice as long as the more obtuse bracteoles; staminal lobes 1-2 mm long.

Distribution:  Often in large populations.   W.Aust.; N.T.; Qld. Flowering time: throughout the year but most frequently in later winter and early spring.
