Description:
Erect shrub, 1-1.5 m high, sometimes a small tree to 4 m high; branches moderately to densely hairy, appearing silver-green; hairs straight, appressed, 0.2-0.3 mm long, moderately to densely hairy, sparsely glandular or glands absent; petiole absent; lamina terete or with a faint groove along the adaxial surface, 10-53 mm long, 0.4-3.4 mm wide; base attenuate; margin entire; apex attenuate to obtuse; venation (including the midrib) not visible.
Pedicel 1.5-3.7 mm long, densely hairy, glands absent; bracteoles inserted on the central to distal half of the pedicel, linear to narrowly oblong, rarely narrowly elliptic, 0.6-2.6 mm long, 0.1-0.4 mm wide; calyx cream; tube 1.7-3.5 mm long; outer surface moderately to densely hairy, glands absent; inner surface glabrous; lower lobe depressed-triangular to broadly ovate, 2.1-5.4 mm long, 2.8-6.4 mm wide; outer surface sparsely to densely hairy, glands absent; inner surface sparsely hairy; upper lobe depressed-ovate to very broadly ovate, 1.2-3 mm long, 1.6-5.2 mm wide; outer and inner surfaces moderately to densely hairy; corolla 7-10 mm long, white with mauve or purple streaks on the inner distal part of the tube and inner lower surface of the mouth, outer and inner surfaces sparsely hairy; tube 3.5-5.7 mm long; lower median lobe spathulate, 3-5 mm long, 2-3.8 mm wide; lateral lobes very broadly ovate to ovate, 2-4.3 mm long, 1.5-2.7 mm wide; upper median lobe-pair depressed-obovate to broadly obovate, 1.3-5.5 mm long, 4-6.3 mm wide; stamens inserted 1-2.4 mm above the base of the corolla; filaments 2.2-4 mm long; anthers 0.6-1.5 mm long, connective extended to form a basal appendage 0.4-1 mm long, distally tapering into a narrowly triangular trichome; pistil 5-8 mm long; ovary cylindrical-obovoid, 0.3-0.6 mm long, sparsely to moderately glandular distally, sometimes nonglandular hairs also present; style 4.5-7 mm long; stigma lobes c. 0.4-0.6 mm long.

This species occurs in open Eucalyptus gongylocarpa woodland between sand dunes, on the slopes of granitic hills with Grevillea, Eremophila, Acacia, and Triodia spp. in skeletal soils, or in red sands overlying red sandstone with Cassia artemisioides.
