Description:
Annual herb 4-20 cm high; stems several, decumbent to ascending, smooth, puberulent; basal leaves linear, attenuate at the base, acute, 2-8 cm long, soon withering; cauline leaves erect, linear to narrowly oblanceolate, acute to subacute, 2-6 cm long, 1-3 mm wide, thick, bright-green, glandular-pubescent.
Capitula close to the ground, erect, on short leafy peduncles swollen at the apex; involucre 2.4-4 cm long; bracts numerous, lanceolate, glandular, viscid; florets 35-55; corollas 2-3 cm long.
Achenes 2-3 mm long, greybrown, finely pubescent; pappus bristles 5, equal, 2.5-3.5 cm long, plumose but glabrous near the base.
