Description:
Leaves 3-16 mm long; spikes elongated or condensed at maturity.

peduncle to 16.5 mm long; pedicels densely covered with long hairs; perianth 4-6 mm long, densely covered outside with short antrorse hairs.

Distribution:  On red loams with underlying clay.
