Description:
Low much branched undershrub; leaves and involucral bracts covered with long coarse antrorse hairs which are fewer and finer on the upper surface.
Involucral bracts 8-10; flowers 40-50 in each head, female in all specimens seen; pedicels covered with short fine hairs; perianth 6.5-10.5 mm long, covered outside with short fine hairs and additional long coarse antrorse ones on the persistent base.
