Phlegmatospermum

Citation: O. Schulz, Bot. Jb. 66:93 (1933).

Derivation: Greek phlegma, inflammation; sperma, seed; referring to the mucous seeds.

Synonymy: Eunornia DC. subgen. Pseudonomia F. Muell., Linnaea 25:369 (1853). Endemic to Australia, with 4 species. (E. A. Shaw (1974) Contr. Gray Herb. 205:150-154).

Description:
Annual herbs.

Sepals spreading, not saccate; petals clawed; stamens 6; nectariferous glands various.

Fruit silicula, dehiscent, compressed; septum narrow; seeds 3-10 per locule, mucous; radicle incumbent or accumbent.
