Description:
Cocci c. 4 mm high, apex rounded or beaked, glabrous; seeds c. 3 mm long, black.
Inflorescence terminal, a 2-16-flowered umbel-like cluster; pedicels 4-10 mm long, sparsely and minutely stellate; calyx-lobes c. 0.5 mm long, sparsely stellate; petals narrowly elliptic, 3.5-5 mm long, white to pink; anthers pink; gynoecium 2-4-carpellate; carpels c. 1 mm high, abruptly beaked.

Taxonomic notes:
The Kangaroo Island variant is close morphologically to P. brachyphyllum having orbicular leaves c. 4 mm diam. and carpels lacking apical beaks. Mainland plants are very close to Grampians variants of P. bilobum. Species delimitation requires further investigation.
