Description:
Spreading undershrub to 40 cm high; stems ascending, densely branched, striate, finely white-tomentose when young, becoming woody, brittle; leaves oblanceolate to spathulate, to 1 cm long, 2-5 mm wide, pinnatisect with 3-7 linear segments less than 1 mm wide, greyish, densely appressed-pubescent.
Capitula solitary or 2 or 3 in a loose corymb on peduncles 1-3 cm long, 5-7 mm diam.; involucres hemispherical, c. 2 mm long; bracts c. 3-seriate, unequal, ovate, green with scarious margins; florets far exceeding the involucre, 5-merous, yellow.
Achenes asymmetrically cuneate, c. 2 mm long, 5-ribbed, brown, glabrous; pappus a scarious crown, irregular, c. 1 mm long, white.
