Paspalidium constrictum

Common name: Knotty-butt paspalidium, box grass.
Description:
Tussock-forming perennial, 5-80 cm high; leaf blades usually rough with reflexed hairs, to 15 cm long, flat or folded.
Panicle 6-11 cm long, spike-like and often interrupted in the lower part, shortly exserted, densely scabrous-pubescent; spikelets 2.5-2.75 mm long, glabrous; first glume about half as long as the spikelet, shortly acuminate, 5-nerved, second glume 7-9-nerved; second (fertile) lemma about as long as the spikelet, rugulose.
