Citation: Spach, Hist. Nat. Veg. Phan. 9:136 (1840).

Derivation: Named after Pandora in Greek mythology.

Synonymy: Tecoma a. Pandorea Endl., Gen. Pl. 711 (1839) with indeterminate rank.

Common name: None

Description:
Lianes, bushes or shrubs; leaves imparipinnate.

Flowers in terminal sometimes also axillary thyrses or, by reduction, racemes; calyx campanulate or cup-shaped; corolla with a 2-lobed upper lip and a 3-lobed lower lip, the lobes imbricate in bud.

Capsule loculicidal.

Distribution:  6 species, from eastern and central Australia to east Malesia, and on Lord Howe Island and New Caledonia.
