Description:
Evergreen trees; leaves pinnate; the petiole slightly expanded at the base; leaflets mostly alternate, entire, subsessile; bracts small, sometimes persistent.
Panicles linear to broadly lanceolate in outline and relatively dense; sepals 5, obtuse, very shortly fused, short, imbricate; petals 5, free, obovate to oblanceolate, erect; filaments forming a 10-toothed tube; anthers 10, inserted in the mouth of the staminal tube; disk annular; ovary 3-celled, with 1 ovule in each cell; stigma conical, surmounting a glandular ring.
