Description:
Undershrub 20-50 cm high, aromatic; stems densely branched, ascending or decumbenL glandular-pubescent, often rooting at the nodes, becoming weakly woody; leaves oblanceolate, attenuate at the base, obtuse, 3-7 cm long, 1-2 cm wide, usually shallowly and remotely dentate, glandular to glabrescent.
Capitula terminal, solitary, on naked peduncles 3-10cm long; involucral bracts 14-16, l-2-seriate, lanceolate, green with pale scarious margins, equal, 9-12 mm long, glandular; ray florets 14-16; ligules 2.5-3.5 cm long, white above, shaded purple below; disk florets indigo with prominent gold anthers.
Achenes 6-7 mm long, light-brown, 3-angled.
