Common name: Tripteris, stinking Roger.
Description:
Annual herb 20-50 cm high, sticky, aromatic; stems sometimes branched, erect, glandular-pubescent, sometimes woody at the base; lower leaves oblanceolate, attenuate at the base, obtuse, 3-9 cm long, 1-2 cm wide, sinuate-toothed, subglabrous to glandular-pubescent; upper leaves narrowly oblong to lanceolate, to 5 cm long, c. 1 cm wide, amplexicaul, acute, sinuate-toothed, glandular-pubescent.
Achenes c. 9 mm long, light-brown, laterally wrinkled, with 3 broad scarious wings.

Occurs in scrub, roadsides, watercourses and disturbed ground, mainly on sandy soils.
