Oenanthe pimpinelloides

Synonymy: Oenantha pimpinelloides Common name: Water dropwort, corky-fruited water dropwort.
Description:
Erect perennial herb, 30-100 cm high; roots with rounded tubers towards their end; stem solid, grooved, branched; basal leaves 2-pinnate; segments cuneate, lanceolate to ovate, c. 5 mm long, lobed; stem-leaves 1- or 2-pinnate; segments linear-lanceolate to linear, 1-3 cm long, usually entire.
Umbels terminal, 2-5 cm diam.; peduncle longer than the rays; involucral bracts several, subulate; rays 6-15, rather stout in fruit; umbellules dense, flat; bracteoles many, subulate, about as long as the pedicels.
Fruiting pedicels thickened at the top; styles stout, erect, more than two-thirds as long as the fruit; fruit cylindrical, c. 3 mm long, strongly ribbed.
