Nertera reptans

Citation: Benth., Fl. Aust. 3:431 (1867).

Synonymy: Diodia reptans F. Muell., J. Trans. Vic. Inst. 128 (1855).

Common name: Dwarf nertera.

Description:
Delicate herb with usually little-branched prostrate stems up to 20 cm long, often rooting at the nodes, hairy; leaves with petioles 2-4 mm long; lamina ovate, rarely lanceolate, 6-14 x 3-10 mm, obtuse or acute, covered with long hairs; stipules with 1 large and 2 smaller points on the sheath around the node.

Calyx a 2-lipped ring, with long spreading hairs; corolla slender, funnel-shaped, with a tube 3.5-5 mm long, cream, with long hairs on the outside of the lobes; anthers slender, well exposed.

Fruit a red drupe.
