Common name: Bridle creeper, smilax asparagus.
Description:
Tall climber often 1-2 m; roots bearing tubers; cladodes solitary, ovate, acute, glossy, green, 2-3 cm long, with many longitudinal nerves.
Flowers single or twin, bisexual, greenish-white, on peduncles jointed near the summit, drooping.
Berry 7-10 mm diam., finally dark-red.
