Electronic Flora of South Australia infraspecific Fact Sheet

Family: Asteraceae
Millotia tenuifolia var. nudescens

Citation: Schodde, Trans. R. Soc. S. Aust. 87:234 (1963).

Synonymy: Not Applicable

Common name: None

Description:
Corollas of outer florets often somewhat deflexed.

Pappus of 5-30 unequal bristles shorter than the corolla or reduced to a ring of minute scales.

Distribution:  In mallee and heath on white sand ridges.

  Vic.

Flowering time: Aug. — Oct.

Biology: Apparently an ecotype occurring in mixed populations with the typical variety, with which it intergrades, on the sand ridges and replaced by pure colonies of var. tenutfolia on more favourable sites (Schodde, 1963); it would possibly be more appropriately treated at the level of a forma.
