Description:
Peduncles indistinct, to 1 cm long; involucral bracts 7-9 rarely 12, 5-6 mm long, densely grey-white woolly, appearing connate; florets c. 15-25.

Achenes 5-7 rarely to 8 mm long, with beaks 1-4 mm long, manifestly unequal, the inner ones far exceeding the involucre, the outer ones shorter; pappus of c. 10-15 plumose bristles 0.75-1.5 mm long.

Distribution:  On sand dunes in mulga, woodland and pastures.
