Description:
Shrub, spreading to erect, 0.3-1.5 m high; leaves obovate-oblong, 1-2 x 0.5-1 mm, sessile, somewhat glaucous, the margins minutely denticulate; peduncles 1.5-2.5 mm long, exceeding the leaves.
Hypanthium granular-muricate, often eccentrically swollen, obscurely 5-angled, c. 2.5 x 1.5 mm; sepals semi-orbicular, petaloid, entire, c. 0.9 mm long; petals orbicular, yellow, c. 2 mm diam.; stamens 5, opposite the petals; ovules 7-10, collateral; ovary small, near the summit of the tube.
