Common name: Hummock honey-myrtle, swamp paper-bark.

Description:
Shrub to 2 m high, glabrous except for the slightly villous young shoots and the base of the hypanthium and the densely tomentose inflorescence; leaves decussate, linear-lanceolate, 4-8 mm long, 1-2 mm broad, flat and smooth above, convex and distinctly dotted below, acuminate and recurved, sessile; nerves invisible.

Flowers in 4-10 pairs of crowded triads in lateral spikes with ovate scarious bracts and narrow bracteoles obscured by the long hairs of the rhachis; hypanthium bell-shaped, 1-1.5 mm long; sepals nearly semicircular, c. 1 mm long, ribbed, with a scarious margin, incurved; stamens in bundles of 10-15, yellowish; claws 3-4 mm long; free parts of the filaments 3-4 mm long.

fruit scaly, 3-4 mm long, slightly undulate at the rim, compressed in dense lateral infructescences on axes which very rarely grow on.
