Description:
Annual and perennial herbs with vestiture of short simple non-glandular hairs; stem terete; leaves cauline, alternate, flat, entire to pinnatisect.
Capitula numerous in loose panicles, small, pedunculate, homogamous; involucres ovoid to campanulate, 2-seriate; outer bracts 2-5, minute, scale-like; inner bracts much larger, equal, herbaceous, lanceolate, remaining erect in fruit; receptacle flat, naked, pitted; florets few, bisexual, fertile, ligulate; ligules cuneate, yellow; corolla tube shorter than the ligule, puberulent; anthers finely tailed; style branches linear, papillose.
Achenes compressed-fusiform, curved, finely ribbed, glabrous; pappus absent.
