Common name: Small fuzzweed.
Description:
Annual herb 3-20 cm high; stems branched, decumbent to ascending, not woody, glandular, pilose to glabrous; leaves oblong to elliptic, 1-4 cm long, up to 1 cm wide; pinnatifid or bipinnatifid, pilose to glabrous; bases narrow, petiole-like or broad and subamplexicaul.
Peduncles terminal, 1-7 cm long, glandular; involucral bracts glandular, to 10 mm long; receptacle 2.5-5 mm diam.; ligules filiform, c. 1 mm long, white, hardly exceeding involucres.
Ray achenes narrow-obovate, c. 2 mm long, with a beak 2-4.5 mm long, glabrous; pappus bristles uniseriate, subequal, c. 3 mm long; disk florets fertile; achenes like the ray achenes.
