Description:
Glabrous plant, the slender stem 5-20 cm long, with 1 linear erect leafy sheathing bract 1.5-4 cm long, affixed rather below the middle of the stem; leaves linear, channelled, 1-2 mm broad, usually longer than the stem; corm globular, 8-12 mm diam.
Flower usually 1, terminal; segments 6-18 mm long, bright-yellow inside, green outside; anthers c. 5 mm long and very shortly lobed at the base.
Capsule oblong, 6-8 mm long.
