Description:
Annual or biennial herbs, scabrous.

Sepals erect, inner pair slightly saccate; petals clawed; stamens 6; median nectariferous glands present.

Siliqua dehiscent, beaked; beak short, swollen; valves with 3 prominent veins; seeds in 1 row per locule, 0-2 in the beak; cotyledons conduplicate.

Distribution:  2 species in the Mediterranean; 1 species established in Australia.
