Citation: F. Muell., Victorian Nat. 5:11 (1888).

Synonymy: Goodenia calogynoides

Common name: Small Flowered goodenia.

Description:
Perennial herb to 15 cm high, with a short rootstock; basal leaves forming an ascending rosette, oblong to obovate or narrow-oblanceolate, attenuate at the base, obtuse, 1.5-8 cm long, 5-15 mm wide, dentate to lyrate-pinnatifid, sparsely pubescent, non-glandular; stems ascending or decumbent, terete, hardly pubescent.

Flowers in a terminal raceme or umbellate group, rarely solitary; bracts elliptic, entire or dentate, 5-12 mm long, hirsute; peduncles 1-7 cm long, articulate immediately below the ovary; bracteoles absent; sepals elliptic, 1.8-2.2 mm long, hirsute to subglabrous, adnate to the ovary for two-thirds of its length; corolla 5-7 mm long, yellow, pubescent outside and towards the base inside, with an indistinct pocket; wings short, broad, subequal; auricles indistinct; anthers c. 0.4 mm long; style c. 2 mm long, straight, glabrous or with a few hairs; indusium depressed-obovate, c. 1 mm long, c. 1.5 mm wide, 2-fid or emarginate, with a convex orifice beset with short white bristles; ovary pubescent with glandular and non-glandular hairs; dissepiment very short.

Capsule slightly compressed subglobular, 5-6 mm long, 4-5 mm wide, pubescent; valves entire; seeds flat, orbicular to elliptic, 3.5-4 mm long, foveolate, black, with a distinct rim and a broad white or brownish wing.
