Description:
Decumbent or usually ascending softly hairy annual or biennial herb with a thin much-branched tap root, to 50 cm tall; leaves orbicular to reniform in outline, 2-0.5 cm long and up to 4 cm wide, 5-9-lobed to about the middle with broad lobes, each lobe divided into 3-5 obtuse teeth towards the top; petioles up to 7 cm long.
Flowers paired; peduncles to 2 cm long; pedicels to 12 mm long, densely covered with spreading soft eglandular and glandular hairs; sepals narrow-oblong to elliptic, c. 4 mm long and c. 2 mm wide, with a short blunt mucro; petals mauvish-pink, obovate, as long as or slightly longer than the sepals, ciliate towards the base, emarginate; stamen filaments lanceolate, to 3 mm long, with a few long hairs on the margin; anthers more or less globular, mauve.
Seeds not released from the mericarp.
