Description:
Spreading undershrub to 1 m high; stems ascending, divaricate-branched, at first angled, later terete, woody, glabrescent; leaves obovate to spathulate, attenuate and petiole-like at the base, obtuse to acute, 1-3.5 cm long, 2-15 mm wide, sparsely pubescent when young, later viscid-varnished; margin very shallowly serrate or dentate, usually slightly recurved.
capsule globular, 5-7 mm diam.; seeds oblong, c. 3 mm long, shiny, yellow-brown; caruncle papillose.
