Description:
Petiole terete or scarcely vertically flattened, (for forms with broader petioles see var. platypoda); leaflets 1 or 2 pairs, terete or linear, usually with a finely hooked point, (for forms with few pairs of broader leaves see var. zygophylla or var. coriacea).

Distribution:    all mainland States.

Flowering time: in spring, July — Sept. and sometimes again in autumn, April.
