Synonymy: C. sturtii R. Br. var. coriacea Benth., Fl. Aust. 2:288 (1864).

Description:
Leaflets in 2-8 pairs, but very variable and extremes look very different; when in few pairs 1-2 x 0.2-0.4 cm, elliptic or narrow-oblanceolate, broadly and shallowly channelled, when numerous 3-5 x 2-3 mm, obovate-obtuse; petiole short in microphyllous forms; stipules sometimes subpersistent and subspinescent.
