Description:
Shrub to 1 m, glabrous; leaf blade linear to elliptic, 1.75-7.5 mm long, in transverse section broadly obtriangular to depressed-angular-obovate.
Bracteoles connate and persistent, ridged or subkeeled; hypanthium free from the style, 8-12 mm long; calyx segments broadly to depressed-obovate, 1-1.75 mm long (excl. awn), the apex produced into an awn to 12 mm long; petals white (sometimes tinged pink), ovate to elliptic, 4.5-7 mm long; stamens c. 17-25, l-seriate.
