Common name: Snow myrtle.
Description:
Shrub to 2.5 m; branchlets pubescent; leaf blade pubescent to glabrous, linear to ovate or lanceolate, 1-5 mm long, in transverse section depressed- to very depressed-angular-obovate.
Bracteoles connate and persistent, not ridged or keeled; hypanthium free from the style, 2.5-4.75 mm long; calyx segments ovate to transversely oblong, 0.5-1 mm long, the apex rounded to acute (rarely acuminate or shortly awned); petals white to pink, elliptic, 4-5.75 mm long; stamens c. 14-37, 1-seriate.
