Synonymy: Frenela canescens Pad. in A. DC., Prod. 16, 2:448 (1868); C. morrisonii R. Baker, Proc. Linn. Soc. N.S.W. 31:717 (1907); C. drummondii sensu J. Black, Fl. S. Aust. 45 (1943).

Common name: Scrubby cypress-pine.

Description:
Shrub or small tree to 5 m high, occasionally a prostrate shrub; leaves light-green, abaxial surface rounded. Peduncle 0.2-0.7 cm wide, 0.2-1.6 cm long.

Cones single or in groups of 2 or more, subglobose, 1.3-1.9 cm wide, 1.1-1.7 cm long, dorsal surface smooth or coarsely rugose; dorsal point inconspicuous; columella simple.

Distribution:  Found in mallee open scrub; favours calcareous soils.
