Common name: Large-headed daisy, tall daisy.
Description:
Perennial herb to 45 cm high; stems several from the base, branched, erect, pubescent; leaves basal, sessile, oblanceolate, distally pinnatifld or pinnatisect, with oblong acute segments, 2-9 cm long, 0.5-2.5 cm wide, broadened at the base, glandular and pubescent.
Peduncles unbranched, robust, to 35 cm long, minutely glandular, bearing numerous reduced leaves and passing into the leafy stems; receptacle conical, c. 4 mm diam.; involucral bracts 20-25, oblong, acute, 6-9 mm long, green, glandular, with entire or serrulate margins; ray florets 40-45; ligules oblanceolate, 10-12 mm long, white; anthers with terminal appendages.
