Description:
Small stemless annual herb to 2 cm high; leaves basal, more or less erect, linear and entire or pinnatisect with 1-4 linear segments, obtuse, 0.5-2 cm long, 1-2 mm wide, glabrous, thickened, semisucculent.
Peduncles radical, robust, to 2.5 cm long (the first-formed one less than 1 cm long), leafless, glabrous; receptacle hemispherical, 1.5-2 mm diam.; involucral bracts 6-9, ovate to broadly obovate, obtuse, 3-4 mm long, glabrous, with purplish entire apices; ray florets 4-10; ligules oblong, to 1 mm long, white; disk florets 5-20; anthers with terminal appendages.
Achenes broadly curieate, straight, terete, 1.5-2.5 mm long, brown; margins with thickened wings bearing silky glandular hairs to 1 mm long; faces smooth, glabrous; pappus prominent, 1-1.5 mm long, with unequal bristles fused into bundles.

Biology:
