Description:
Erect shrub to 60 cm high; branchlets minutely pubescent, glandular-warty; leaves 3-foliolate, rarely 5-foliolate; petioles c. 1 mm or less long; lamina obovate, 1.5-4 mm long, thick, glabrous.

Flowers terminal and axillary, mostly solitary, rarely in 2- or 3-flowered cymes; flower-stalks 2-bracteate towards the base; sepals rounded, 1.5-2 mm long, ciliolate; petals 3-5 mm long, pink, red or white, persistent in fruit; filaments thickened and glandular towards the apex; anthers with short obtuse apicula; stigma capitate.

Cocci 4-5 mm long, glabrous; seeds c. 3 mm long, minutely pitted, dull-brown.
