Description:
Erect shrub to 60 cm high; branches erect, wiry; leaves narrow-elliptic to orbicular or obovate, obtuse to rounded, 5-15 mm long, 3-8 mm wide, entire.
Fruiting bracteoles sessile or very shortly pedicellate; valves fused for c. 1 mm above the base, orbicular to rhomboid or triangular, obtuse to acute, to 5 mm long and wide, entire or slightly denticulate, truncate or slightly cordate at the base; bladder-appendages small or absent; seed medium-brown.
