Description:
Spreading fleshy perennial herb to 30 cm high; stems herbaceous, robust, prostrate to ascending, branched, ribbed, with dense white felt-like tomentum; leaves mostly cauline, petiolate, the lamina broadly ovate, rhomboid or deltoid, entire or with a pair of small lobes at the base of a terminal lobe, 4-7 cm long, 3-7 cm wide, tomentose to pubescent above, whitetomentose below; margins slightly dentate or entire; peduncles erect, axillary, 6-11 cm long, with dense white felt-like tomentum.
Capitula solitary, 1.5-2 cm diam.; involucre hemispherical, 10-15 mm long; bracts 3- or 4-seriate, broadly lanceolate, densely tomentose, acute, the upper series with scarious margins; ray florets 10-15; ligules 5-7 mm long, yellow; disk florets numerous, yellow.
Achenes c. 5 mm long, white-sericeous to tomentose; pappus of minute obtuse scales.
