Description:
Branches and leaves (especially immature parts) tomentose with antrorsely appressed simple and sparingly-branched non-glandular hairs, sometimes also with a few simple glandular hairs, rarely almost glabrous; corolla lobes 7-15 mm long.

Distribution:  On upper slopes and tops of ranges and monoliths, in tussock grassland or shrubland.

Flowering time: May — Oct.

Biology: In the isolated, southern populations (Carappee Hill, Caralue Bluff and Darke Peak) plants are more slenderly branched, have a much sparser indumentum and thinner textured leaves than those of the Gawler Ranges populations.
