Anogramma leptophylla

Citation: Link, Fil. Sp. Cult. 137 (1841).

Synonymy: Polypodium leptophyllum L., Sp. Pl. 1092 (1753).

Common name: Annual fern.

Description:
Small fern; fronds thin, glabrous, bipinnatisect, ultimate segments obovate-cuneate, more or less deeply lobed; sporangia in rows along the veins; gametophyte perennial.

Distribution:  Common on damp banks amongst grasses or in rocky crevices.

S.Aust.: NW, FR, EP, NL, MU, SL, KI, SE.   W.Aust.; N.S.W.; Vic.; Tas.   New Zealand; cooler and temperate parts of both hemispheres.

Conservation status: native
