Common name: Wire-leaved mistletoe.

Description:
Glabrous; epicortical runners absent; leaves terete, 20-80 mm long, 0.5-2.3 mm diam.

Inflorescence peduncle 6-26 mm long; rays 2 (rarely 3), 3-13 mm long; pedicels of the lateral flowers 4-10 mm long; bracts 1.5-2 mm long; calyx limb entire, c. 0.2 mm long; corolla inflated at the base, clavate, 18-26 mm long, 4- or 5-merous, red; anthers 2-5 mm long, almost equal to the free part of the filament.

Fruit globular, 8-10 mm long, pink or white.

Distribution:  Usually parasitic on Acacia, rarely on Cassia.
