Ammophila arenaria
Citation:

Synonymy: Arundo arenaria L., Sp. Pl. 82 (1753); Ammophila arundinacea Host, Ic. Descr. Gram. Aust. 4:24 (1809).
Common name: Marram grass.
Description:
Perennial, 60-120 cm high, with a creeping rhizome and erect stems; ligule 2-3 cm long, 2-fid.
Panicle dense, 7-25 cm long; spikelets over-topping the lemmas; straw-coloured, 12-15 (rarely to 20)mm . long; lemmas stiff, 3-toothed at the summit, glabrous.
