Description:
Leaves spreading, narrowly linear, 2-6 cm long, c. 1.5 mm wide, entire, obtuse, more or less terete, glabrous; leaf bases subterranean, somewhat dilated, persistent to form a loose coarsely fibrous sheath around the rhizome; scapes few, filiform, 1.5-6 cm long, glabrous, reddish.
Capitula 2-3 cm diam.; involucral bracts ovate, obtuse, 3-5 mm long, entire, glabrous; ligules 20-30, linear, 8-10 mm long, white to pink.
Ray achenes c. 1.5 mm long, pubescent; pappus scales 8-12, narrowly lanceolate, 1.5-2 mm long, ciliolate; disk florets numerous, golden-yellow; pappus scales 1-3, c. 0.5 mm long or absent.
