Abutilon macrum

Citation: F. Muell., Fragm. Phyt. Aust. 9:59 (1875).

Synonymy: Abutilon arenarium

Common name: Slender lantern bush.

Description:
Slender erect undershrub or shrub to 2 m high, covered with a stellate hoary pubescence; leaves hairy above and below, serrate, narrowly or broadly oblong, 1.5-4 cm long.

Peduncles about as long as the leaves; calyx c. 3-4 mm long, the lobes being longer than the tube; corolla yellow and not much longer than the calyx.

Capsule usually twice as long as the calyx, 5-6 mm diam., truncate, composed of 10 obtuse fruitlets which open at the top and contain 2 or 3 sparsely pubescent seeds.
